ABOUT ME
HELLO HELLO! I'm Jess, an illustrator based in Yorkshire UK. My realistic work focuses on the beauty of imperfection, primarily through the parts of ourselves we try to overlook or are deemed by society as obsolete.
I was lucky enough to be featured on Buzzfeed for my work on beauty standards and the impact this has during early adulthood. Whereas my animated art enables me to experiment with clashing colour schemes and bring my favourite characters from books to life.
I have had art featured in popular book series like Nora Sakavics All for the Game, Maggie Stiefvater's New York Times bestselling series the Raven Boys and have designed multiple book covers you can find examples of in my commissions page.
As well as this, I am a full time University student undertaking a Masters in Medieval Studies. I hope to one day become an author and make art from my own stories.
ABOUT THE TEAM
Though it's a running joke between my family and friends that we call the shop Ouijacine&Co because it makes it seem all very official and scary, the truth is that the shop would be absolutely nothing without the company that surrounds it.
Behind the scenes are both my parents, who handle a lot of the packing duty, the greatest friends in the world, Karina and Jess who help with all my modelling and general complaints, Jess' boyfriend who unfortunately got dragged into all this and Karina's dad Richard who takes all our photos and cares about them more than me!
